Statistical Power Rankings - Week 8


Yesterday you got Commish's power rankings, which have all the faults and flaws of a human bias. Although I do look at stats, I am ultimately ranking the teams based on how much I would rather not play them. These rankings are different. There is no biaas here, they are based solely on the numbers. It's a simple formula, if you are leading the league in a category, you get 12 points, second gets 11 points, 3rd gets 10 and so on. This can give us an idea of who is overperforming or underperforming this season in the standings. Credit goes to Richie for this idea.

    - These rankings aren't far off from the Commish's Power Rankings, except for Richie jumping up 4 spots to #4 (I wonder why he suggested Roto rankings...) and Dan falling to #11. Goes to show that Russ is unbiased as possible.

    - Keeves is the prospect that always had a whole lot of potential but couldn't find a way to unlock it until year 5 and now he is one of the hottest commodities in the game. i.e. Andrew Bynum without the injury

    - Head to Head format is 100x better than Roto format yet Roto is far more popular in the fantasy world.

    - DOES ANYONE NEED OFFENSE?? Goldschmidt, Rizzo, Braun, and Marte are untouchable but anyone else can be negotiated for
