Monday Power Rankings

From now on, I'm going to stick to a weekly format for the blog, with something to put up each day. I'll try to stay on top of it, but that's always easy to say in the first week of the season. I'd like to do weekly segments like add of the week, who's hot/not, matchup of the week, etc.

Monday is going to be power rankings day. These are based off of last year's finish and general feeling of the league after the draft, these are not my pre-season predictions, which will be posted here on Friday (column day). Click through for week 1 Power Rankings...

POWER RANKINGS, MONDAY APRIL 1st

1. Dan - The luxury of drafting early and often comes coupled with some massive expectations, as the man of few words is the Vegas favorite to win it all.
2. Mark - Two years removed from his three-peat domination, Mark is looking like he could reach that level again.
3. John - The defending champ's offense remains elite, but suspect pitching could stand between him and a repeat of last year.
4. Russ - A lineup overflowing with power hitters makes his offense the class of the league, but will the risky pitching selections pay off?
5. Perka - Having arguably the best keepers in the league and actually physically attending the draft will help to snap a 4 year playoff drought.
6. Matt -  He briefly tasted postseason victory at the dance last September, and he's looking to finish what he started.
7. Bryan - The best pitching staff in the league could deliver the first rookie manager to make the playoffs.
8. Brad -  The playoffs are not impossible for a team looking to break through the "average" label.
9. Andy - He's going to hate this ranking, but he will pay for some of his draft reaches.
10. Pflanz - All signs point to "rebuilding stage" for one of the league's best regular season managers.
11. Greg - The youngest manager trots out one of the youngest teams, they'll need more time before making a championship run.
12. Richie - He knew what he was getting into, but Eric set him up well, he could still make some waves yet this year.
