Travers, Pflanz Discuss Blockbuster Trade

We've seen a lot of big trades in April, could another early deal go down?

It has been reported that Richie Travers has made a bid for a big name player off Pflanz's roster. Neither manager would give exact details, but Travers called it a "blockbuster" while Pflanz told reporters, "he's taking a shot for my baby"

Knowing Pflanz, this would suggest that either second round pick Kris Medlen or long time keeper Joey Votto is the target, and while he has hinted towards Medlen, neither can be ruled out.

Travers, who has made it known that he is shopping out his closers, could be offering up Rafael Soriano and Chris Perez in the deal, as well as draft picks.

Does Pflanz see himself agreeing to another early season blockbuster? 

"It would definitely fulfill a need for me, and after this past week it's tempting, but it may be be giving up too much too early..."
