Week 2 Power Rankings

Early season power rankings are going to change a lot, so be prepared for some big jumps or big drops in these first few weeks. Number 1 will stay number 1 as Dan got the win over Greg this week. However, the rest of the top 5 has changed significantly. The biggest jump this week was Richie (12th to 6th), and the biggest drop was Keeves (6th to 11th). Click through for the full rankings...

POWER RANKINGS, MONDAY APRIL 8th

1. Dan (Last week's Rank: 1) - Close call in week 1, but Chris Davis' 17 RBI's and James Shields 8K win on Sunday allowed him to get the one point edge on Greg, retaining the #1 spot.
2. Russ (4) - Was able to beat rival Mark 7-3 with 15 home runs and an impressive sweep of the 5 pitching categories (not a typo).
3. Bryan (7) - It took zero moves since the draft for the rookie to put up his first win. While most of his categories weren't extraordinary, he did have a team average near .300 while Kershaw helped him to sweep all 5 pitching categories.
4. Brad (8) - His dominating win was more due to Keeves' poor numbers than Brad's slightly above average stats, but a win is a win.
5. Mark (2) - Held the lead over rival Russ until Sunday afternoon, when his top two starters blew up to give him the league's worst ERA and WHIP. Still put up good offensive numbers.
6. Richie (12)-  The oldest rookie in league history took down the champ thanks to Michael Morse's 5 homers and Mark Trumbo's 2 RBI night on Sunday. He beat Johnny at his own game as well swiping 9 bases and hitting .286
7. John (3) -  The championship hangover was in full effect for Johnny as he lost to Richie and his squad of misfits and castoffs. If anything he was lucky to win the 3 categories that he did.
8. Greg (11) - This team looked terrific despite a 5-4 loss to the #1 team, not only was he able to smash 15 homers (tied for the league lead) he also led the league in runs and whip.
9. Pflanz (10) - Relied on steals and strikeouts and survived a late Perka comeback to win a matchup that could have gone either way.
10. Perka (5) - A big Sunday night at the plate allowed him to keep his loss to rival Pflanz respectable, but his week 1 offense on the whole wasn't anything special.
11. Matt (6) - Keeves had a terrible week, putting up the worst offensive numbers of any team in the league. He's lucky Brad's shaky bullpen could only muster 1 save or he would be in dead last in the standings.
12. Andy (9) - The offense wasn't clicking while his defense ranked bottom third of the league in every pitching category, plenty of time to bounce back.
